Dear Members,
For your due information, I wish to bring to your attention that the document on the Statutes amendments (document no. 45) logged on the restricted area of the website (for the link, please refer to our message prot. no. 3987 of 24 July 2025 attached herewith) has been updated to reflect a proposed amendment relating to the Regional Commissions for the Americas.

I therefore kindly ask you to check this document before the General Assembly in Copenhagen.

Under provision of article 12 of the Statutes, this is to inform you that the Apimondia General Assembly will convene on 24th September 2025 at 17:15 hrs (first session) and on 27th September 2025 at 17:00 hrs (second session) at the Bella Congress Centre, Center Blvd. 5, 2300, Copenhagen, Denmark, on the occasion of the 49th Apimondia International Apicultural Congress. Attached herewith you can find the agenda of the two sessions.

IMPORTANT - The information material for the meeting will be logged on the Apimondia website by tomorrow. To access and download said material, log-in in the reserved area for Apimondia Members of the Apimondia website through the following link:

We would appreciate it if you could forward this information material to your official delegate(s) attending the General Assembly meetings in order to ensure their effective and active participation in the discussions and resolutions to be passed. In this respect, we remind you that you must return to the General Secretariat in Rome at your earliest convenience and not later than 24th August 2025 the delegate participation form attached herewith with the name(s) of the delegate(s) of your Association. Only Member Associations that have forwarded the participation form to the General Secretariat in time will be eligible to take part in the General Assembly.

We warmly invite you to make every possible effort to ensure that your delegate(s) attend(s) the General Assembly sessions to represent your Association and participate actively in the discussions, deliberations and elections. Please note that the delegate accreditation procedures will commence up to one hour and a half before each session; appropriate instructions on the place and time for accreditation will be issued closer to the date of the General Assembly.

Please note that if no representative of your Association is able to attend the congress, you are entitled to give a proxy to another Member Association of Apimondia (that must be in good standing with the payment of their membership fees to be able to attend the General Assembly sessions and represent you) and send the relevant delegate participation form to our office in Rome by 24th August 2025 and also copy it to the Member Association you have chosen to represent you for their proper information.

We would also like to invite you to put forward any proposal or topic for discussion during the first session.

We would like to remind you that, under provision of article 8 of the Statutes, only the delegates of Member Associations that have paid in full their membership fees up to 2025 will be entitled to participate in the General Assembly and express their votes. In this respect, all those members that have not yet settled their membership fees for 2025 (and previous years, as applicable) are hereby urged to ensure that the payment is made before the congress and, only for documented cases preliminarily agreed for in writing by the General Secretariat office, payments can be made at the latest by 10:00 hrs. of Wednesday 24th September 2025 in Copenhagen to the Apimondia Secretariat office located in Bella Congress Centre.

The Global Honey Bar

at the Apimondia congress in Copenhagen in September 2025

Dear Apimondia member organization

As decided by the Apimondia Executive Council, there will be no honey judging at the WBA. However, honey will still be celebrated in many ways at the Congress.

A new and exciting event at the conference in Denmark will be The Global Honey Bar – every taste is a journey.

The goal of the Global Honey Bar is to celebrate the diversity of honey worldwide and to give all participants at the conference the chance to embark on a sweet honey journey around the globe.

At the Global Honey Bar, (GHB) each Apimondia country will get the opportunity to present 5-10 of its traditional/characteristic honeys for all congress participants. A collaboration is expected if there are more organizations representing one country.

To help the planning of space and facilities at the Global Honey Bar and to establish a point of contact in each country, we kindly urge all interested countries to select a contact person and to send contact details to honeybar@apimondia2025.com. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
